Home Sweet Home

We're housesitting for my brother-in-laws parents while they're on a mission in Mongolia. Here are some pictures of the house and our dog Ghangis.

Washington 2010

We went to Washington over Christmas break to visit Jake's family. It was so fun! While we were there we did a little sightseeing. This is called the Astoria Column. It's amazing! The words and pictures wrapped around that thing tell about the early exploration and founding of the state of Oregon. It winds up in a spiral. I tried to read the whole thing by walking around the column over and over and reading up. I got very dizzy!

This is the view from the top. It's soooo high! I have this slight fear of heights and you have to climb these rickety spiraling stairs to get up there. Not the best combo. But the view from the top was beautiful!

Next we went to the beach. This is a really old shipwreck that no one ever bothered digging up...
the perfect jungle jim for a boy like Jake!

Levi was so excited to go to the beach! He brought his trusty plastic sack along for collecting shells.
 Jake found a weapon!

 Levi found a weapon!
Levi and Jake battle with their weapons!
That's all the pictures I have, but we had a lot of fun adventures and really enjoyed hanging out with everyone in the Northwest!

We went to Shawn and Brooke's for Sadie's baby blessing. I was going to post a bunch of pictures of this Sunday activity, but I thought the videos tell it better. Mom and dad brought these cots for sleeping on. They held them together with the bungi cords...

On Monday we went to this cute little park near their house...

 Mason...the rockclimber.
 Afton loves smelling the flowers.
 Peek-a-boo!

The grandparents watched the kids while we went on a double date to a nearby lava tube. It was so cool!

Graduation!

I am finally posting pictures of my graduation! I graduated from BYU last August and I am now a fourth grade teacher at American Leadership Academy, a charter school in Spanish Fork. Just a side note, these are not our children, we're just wanna be parents :) Katie brought this cute little BYU outfit for Izzy all the way from Virginia just for my graduation.
