The Post-Christmas Festivities

After Christmas Jake drove home to get back to school while the boys and I took an extended visit. That means we were there for the New Year pinata with the Clarks!

Simon likes hitting stuff with sticks.
The pinata was decapitated. Well, actually it flew off the rope and was viciously attacked by the three Clark boys. By the time they were done it was decapitated.
Simon loves his uncles!
I love seeing my boys play with my old childhood toys!

Awwww...Cheryl and I used to play with that house together...

Sometimes Joe thinks he's a cat.
 Cousin time!

 And, of course, Grandpa time!

These little dudes are just 10 days apart!
Watching shows with Grandma Goosey. This is Simon's favorite spot in the whole house.

 Cuddling.
We spent a couple of days at Katie's house.

Joe likes rocking hippos, but he likes rocking horses too.
 Cafe Rio with Uncle West!

 Ah, more cuddles.
This is the real quality Uncle time.
 Fezes are cool.

  This is Joe's favorite spot.

And the visit wouldn't be complete without a good jam session.

Simon loved flying on an airplane.

 Good night!

Christmas with the Carters

After pre-Christmas with the Syphers we drove down to the Carter house in time for Christmas Eve. We loved hanging out with the Clements clan while we were there. There's nothing quite as cute as cousins in matching PJ's!
Simon loved chilling with his Uncle Cody.
Grandma and Grandpa got matching PJ's too :)
Jake and I were pretty stoked helping Santa get these presents under the tree.

Simon loved his new "balance bike".
 And also Melhana's stroller.
Joe enjoyed squishing his new football.
It was hard to get the boys to stop playing with those toys long enough to look in their stockings.

 Jake enjoyed their presents too.

When your family gets this big you have to rely on some Christmas morning video chats to get everyone together.
Already moving in on his brother's bike...
This set sparked Simon's deep and abiding obsession with choo choo trians.
Of course, at Grandma's house these guys are in charge of cleaning the beaters!
Of course, Joe quickly fell in love with his oldest cousin, Emma.
And Grandpa Fish stopped by for a visit!

Grandma Goosey read everyone her new Christmas story.
Matching hand-me-down Christmas PJ's are also cool.
